What scale do I have? Full scale or half scale.

Full scale , also called 1/12 scale, means 1 inch equals a foot or twelve inches. If your adult dolls are 5 to 6 inches tall or your doll house rooms are 10 to 12" tall, you have full scale or 1/12 miniatures.

Half Scale , also called 1/24 scale, means 1/2 inch equals a foot. Half scale is half the size of full scale. If your adult dolls are 2 1/2 or 3 inches tall and your rooms are 5 to 6 inches high you have half scale.

Which scale should I start with full scale or half scale?

If you have a space issue, half scale takes up far less space but you do not get the same detail as you get in the larger full scale miniatures. Half scale means half in all directions so your project will take up one quarter of your table space. There is a better selection of full scale items at this time. Because of current demand, half scale items is becoming much more popular and becoming much more plentiful. Unfortunately, half scale is not half the price. Both half and full scale have similar pricing . Mountain Miniatures has the largest selection of half scale miniatures found anywhere!

What does"SOLD"mean on your website?

We stock everything you see on our site and try to ship your order within 48 hours or less! If an item is out of stock, it is listed as sold. If you see "SOLD" that means we have reordered that miniature and intend to restock it. (Discontinued items are completely removed from the website and you will not see that item anymore.) When the replacement item arrives we remove the sold sign and it is again available for immediate shipment.

How often do you update your website?

Daily, even hourly, particularly when the bargains or other limited quantity items are sold, we delete that item to try an eliminate duplicate orders and disappointed customers.

Do you stock everything I see on your website?

YES!

Do you ever have backorders?

Yes, because of demand occasionally we do get caught short! If that occurs the missing item will be shipped freight free just as soon as the item arrives or if you want, we can substitute a similar more expensive item at no additional cost. Bargain items are sold on first come first serve. When they are gone...they are gone. No backorders on Bargain items.

I see your website is set up with Pay Pal. Do I have to use Pay Pal?

No! Call, mail or fax your order to us! Please note the "payment options button" at the bottom of each product page. We can take your credit card information and ship your miniatures the next day! In the future, we intend to change our website over to normal credit card usage but since every "add to cart" button will have to be modified and we continue to add more and more miniatures each day...time has not permitted us to make that change but it's coming.

Are you going to add a search feature to your website?

I need your input here...we added the "New Products Section" were you can go to see what new miniatures have been added. These pictures are linked to that product location. We have tried to put similar products together. For example, if you are looking for a kitchen table and see a table you like in the new products gallery, click on the picture. That will link you directly to that table plus other similar tables on that page or another page, back or next. Do we need to add a search engine or will these pictures do the job?

Do you have a catalog?

Not at present. Our inventory changes so rapidly! It would be hard to have a current catalog. The website is not "write protected" so you can print a page any time you want. If you see something of interest and want to compare it to another item. Just hit print.
